 Week 7 Terms: Population- the entirety of a group that estimated by their performance Sample- a group actually included in the study Norming- refers to the process of constructing norms or the typical performance level of the achievement of the tested group  Norm-reference Tests- the results are used to compare similar testers and then used to rank testers Criterion-reference Tests- Comparing testers' results to predetermined criteria based on test knowledge.  Validity- whether the assessment measures what is supposed to be measured Reliability- if results can be produced under the same conditions.  In our discussion this week refined our objective writing skills using the ABCD Format. We placed those skills in small groups and then presented our examples to the class for further evaluation and critics. On Friday we discussed and revisited some examples of assessments in the classroom. These examples went beyond a written worksheet, they included thinking critically and expanding on one's knowledge. After revisiting these examples we were tasked to examine our own lesson we had written for our mathematics course. Upon reexamining my own work I reflected on the improvements I could make to my lesson plan and modified my assessments. This discussion helped me evaluate how learning can be monitored in the classroom can be done in many different formats of formative assessments.
